Welcome to the Yeshasvini scheme, an healthcare initiative by the State Government of Karnataka for the members of Co-operatives. Due to the persistent demand from Co-operators and farmers across the State, the Government has decided to re-introduce the revised Yeshasvini scheme which was stopped in the year 2017-18. The scheme was announced in the State Budget 2022-23.
Yeshasvini Co-operative Members Health Care Trust has been established to implement the scheme. Hon'ble Chief Minister is the Chief Patron and Hon'ble Minister for Co-operation is the Patron of the Trust.The Principal Secretary to the Government, Co-operation department is the Chairman of the Trust. The other members of the Trust include the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Department, Senior Officers of the Co-operative Department, eminent Doctors from different medical specialties and two Senior Co-operators one each from South Karnataka and North Karnataka regions.
Any member of a Co-operative society (rural and urban), a self-help group (organized by Co-operatives) Co-operative fishermen, Co-operative beedi workers, and Co-operative weavers, who have completed at least 3 months as a member of Co-operative society can become members under the Yeshasvini scheme by paying the prescribed annual membership contribution. Eligible family members can also join the scheme by paying annual membership contribution.
For the purpose of the Yeshasvini scheme "family" means the principle applicant, his/her father/mother, husband/wife, sons, unmarried daughters, daughters-in-laws and their grandchildren (Children of sons).
Rs. 5.00/- lakhs maximum limit/year/family has been fixed for treatment expenses.
Member family will be provided a plastic card with an unique ID number, which enables them an access to cashless treatment at Yeshasvini network hospitals across the State. Members can avail 1650 different treatment procedures and 478 ICUs totaling to 2128 procedures (as covered under the Abark scheme).
Treatments available for heart-related diseases, ENT, intestinal diseases, nerve-related diseases, ophthalmology, orthopedics, women-related diseases, and so on.
Overwhelming response to the Yeshasvini scheme is evident from the fact that the enrollment exceeded more than 47.00 lakh members as at the end of March 2023, surpassing the fixed target of 30.00 lakh members. Treatments started in the network hospitals from January 1st, 2023. From 01-01-2023 to 10-03-2024 about 63,691 beneficiaries availed treatments worth around Rs.103.00 crores at Yeshasvini network hospitals across the State.
